If you can wait until Tuesday, I can get the P/N for the glow plugs and you can go to Tousley ford online and order them, much cheaper even with shipping.

Karl, I've got the info about the glowplugs at work too. I believe they're never on for more than 120 seconds, but the length of time they stay on is based on engine oil temp I do believe. There is a graph for this somewhere showing glow plug on time compared to EOT. They will stay on with it running at first too, yes.

Yes - waiting for Tuesday is not a problem. Still have to test them and with the cold weather and work I haven't done it yet. Weill be heading to FL and may wait until I get there to do the testing.

Glow plugs only stay on for 2 minutes then shut off, start your truck at night time and turn headlites on, watch how bright they get after the 2 minutes.
Also note to make sure you get the glow plugs for the right year truck, I read somewhere that around 04late and 05 there is a difference, one is slightly longer than the other and it could cause a sealing problem

That is correct, 03-04.5 use a longer glow plug I believe, 05+ use a shorter one, I have P/N's for each.

They don't always stay on for 2 minutes, 2 minutes is the max. They will stay on after the light goes out too. It is based off of current oil temp.
