Not a code reader, a real scanner to watch things and datalog. We need to watch ICP desired vs ICP actual. This will tell us what the truck wants for injection pressure and what is actually happening. IPR duty cycle will tell us if there is a leak.

So i decided to play around with the truck today and see what i could find. I removed the electronic oil pressure sending guage for the lpop and stuck a mechanical guage in there and got zero oil to the guage left the port wide open and cranked it and again nothing even came out. Checked the oil level for the tenth time and its showing in the opperating range. Removed the oil filter bone dry, no oil what so ever. So my question is, is there a o ring, pipe, gasget between the lpop and oil filter that can go bad or am i looking into buying a lpop pump for this truck tomorrow?

the oil goes from the pan -to the pump-then to the filter, sounds like the low pressure oil pump took a a dump on you

So i removed the low oil pressure regulator and it was fine nothing stuck or broken spring. Cranked the motor over with it out and no oil came out. Removed the oil pump and it all looks good in there nothing broken chipped or damaged. It does look like something went through the gears though but notenough th cause low oil flow. I am lost at this point unless something is wrong with the suction tube

I figured it out today i got to where i could see behind where the gears run in the housing and there are some deep scoring on the back side of the housing between the pressure and suction side. Thanks for all the input evryone
