I'm not sure how he figured out the fuel pump was shot using a scanner? Last I knew they couldn't read fuel pressure. If they're all bad, they all need to be replaced. Replacing one at a time won't fix it. Either the parts are bad or they are not right? It sounds like you're going to get it fixed, we just hate to see someone throw money at parts they don't need is all. If he verified you need them, then so be it!

Ya we ended buying new parts and replaced it all, he was telling me he checked the pressure and he scanned it. Ya so now its running perfect now. But I'm meeting up with him tomorrow for some more info on what caused it and such

I hate to revive an ancient thread, but this one is a bit incomplete. The OP said his problem was solved, but he did not respond with the final word on what caused it. See his last post on page 3.

I am having the exact same problem as the OP and I am wondering if someone can point me and this thread to the root cause. Apparently this problem is not uncommon, but finding and answer that pinpoints its cause is like looking for a unicorn.

Today, I just got my truck out of the dealership's garage after it died. It had a shudder in OverDrive before it died. The dealer replaced the neutral/safety switch and the clutch fan. The truck was hot when I picked it up and there were no problems. I just drove it after it had cooled for about 5 hours and now it bucks in OverDrive like a rodeo horse... until it gets hot. So, I'm right back where I started before my truck died with the same problem as the OP on this thread.

Can someone say with certainty what is causing this shudder problem?

Well after I reported the fix. he changed an injector, something with a fuel system. As well later down the road replaced a transfer case. I didn't have a problem for a while, but the other day she kicked a few times around 80-90 kph. I know it has something to do with the fuel, not sure exactly what part it was. Because before that I replaced a FICM, computer harness which fried and created all the problems from low fuel pressure, injector miss fires, can't remember all the codes but it just was a list that went on and on. I would check something with pressure because that's ringing a bell for some reason, since I also have chipped my truck and played with the acceleration response on te bully dog. Well any ways It did kick after 3 years and just recently felt a small kick but then gone after driving it a short distance, but this was also could have been not using the truck for almost 4 months. I hope you can figure it out, I know I can find the receipt somewhere and the description on what they fixed but need some time.
