Id personaly get a 6.4 nothing on the market touches them as far as just tuned power. But I like my 6.0 if you get one get SCT WITH custom tunes and exhaust, mabey, even delete egr and if you are gonna run hot tunes deck and stud heads if not Eric at innovative makes killer head gasket safe tunes so does GOS Performance also I swear by the gillette fuel spring cheap and havent lost an injector in 100000 miles. Good running truck and also run synthetic oil for more protection I run royal purple oramzoil

I have a 05 6.0, Just driving the truck it is ok hook a trailer to it and it is all down hill from there. Nice truck terrible engine, atleast in almost stock form

I did a DPF delete with a H&S tune on my friends 08 F-350 that 6.4 runs perty impressive after the deletes.

my dads 6.4 has over 100000 miles on it,never seen the ford garage and my 6
0 is a 2006 had problems up intil I did bulleproof egr cooler SCT with customs and gillette fuel spring dont have studs in yet but 100000 miles trouble free I hook on to my 30foot triple axle Donahue trailer and ive rolled across the scales at 36000 pounds at one point and pulls it excelent so I would buythat 06 6.0 if it were me expetialy if its studded and egr is gone

In the stock form, I think the 6.0L should have a rope tied around it, and the other end on a boat. Then it would be useful. All of out F550 service trucks have 6.0L's in them, and they are a constant let down. Between FICM's, Injectors, EGR Coolers and Valves, and Head gaskets, we have a truck down every month. Seeing as there are only 3 trucks used, that's not a good ratio. If we had a fleet of 100 of them, I could see 1 a month going down being acceptable, but not 3.
