Default Turbo noise

Just got home from work and wondering what he77 is going on now? My turbo is boosting around 33 to 36 # of boost but kinda feeling sluggish and then when I let of the throttle i hear a noise coming from the air box. I think its what some people call a turbo fart. My truck normally boosts around 19 - 22 #. Wondering if maybe i blew the turbo up but then why would it be boosting 33 pounds but on the other hand like I said it seems sluggish

If ya blew your turbo most time you'll see white smoke from exhaust. Problem sounds like sticking veins. Any loss of power? And any mods done?

Like month ago was having similar problems with turbo, i would build boost with acceleration and when letting off having same sound. Also had some power lost. Problem was sticking veins, simple turbo clean should fix the problem if that is it.

Yep, clean the veins. Even if it's not the issue, it's cheap and easy (little tedious) to do, and certainly wont hurt anything.

You guys who have this reocurring problem, Ford's latest flash has a vein cycle built into it so at idle it will continue to cycle the veins to avoid this issue.

Ok, so you just go to the local Ford dealer and ask them to do the flash?

Went to take the turbo off tonight but thought just for the heck of it I should start it and take it for a drive. The truck ran good and never missed a beat, turbo ran normal. I don't get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The veins probably aren't fully seized and are still moving somewhat. Things will shift around as it gets hot/cool as well. I would still be leary of what is going on. If it was me, I'd take that turbo off regardless. Worst case, you take it off, give it a good cleaning, and nothing changes, BUT, you know the turbo isn't the issue at that point.
