That still doesn't make sense to me... how are they liable to the police? Do they call the police if you have a broken taillamp or headlamp? No...
so why would they feel the need to call about dyed fuel?? doesn't make sense to me and quite frankly I'd be finding a new dealership. |

The DMV are the one's that inforce the fuel laws and if you are caught running off road fuel in a highway use vehicle it is a STEAP penalty. It's all about the highway taxes buddy:booo: |
No one undrestand what I'm saying
Its a CAR DEALERSHIP - They are NOT the state or any government agency. They have NO reason to report ANYTHING to the police/dmv. I still don't see how it makes it their deal or what gives them the authority to tattle. It is NOT their place and they ALL should butt out. I am an insurance adjuster - but do you think I call in a car for having busted taillamps sinec that is against the law? Hell no - its not my business. |

From what I've been reading (i.e. internet hearsay) Ford is trying everything they can to get out of covering the warranty problems on the 6.0. They're looking for any reason to try and deny coverage and this is just one more thing. Face it, you're running red fuel and the legality of it is questionable. Ford's betting that you won't raise a stink or go to higher ups, police, lawyers, etc. because you don't want it getting out that you're running red fuel. What costs more? Fixing the truck or paying the potential fines for running red fuel? It's up to you if you want to call their bluff. If you can know 100% that you're legal to run red then go after them. |

Nobody but us techs even know if the truck has a tuner on it. So in all reality if the tech knows how to handle it and keep an engineer out of there for big claims and the sm out for anything else its up to us techs to say its not stock. |
