Ok here is the deal; some people say city driving is driving around town and the back roads, stop go stop go. some say city mpg is a mix between highway and city, some say is not going over 50mph.
i will like you guys to describe what is city mpg to you, what kind of truck you drive, how you drive it and how many mpg you get

HIGHWAY MPG IS HIGHWAY MPG, NOTHING BUT HIGHWAY. I GET 16.5 MPG wich i think is good

City mpg to me is; driving around town, driving thru the back roads, maybe going 45 mph once in a while, never going above 50 mph. not using 4x4, not pulling anything, with the truck empty. in my opinion i drive like an old man.
i try to keep the rpm's below 2 and maybe once or twice gun it to like 3 or 3.5 (rpm).
i drive a 2004 f250 crew cab lariat fx4 4x4 6.0 diesel with 35" tires
and i get 7 mpg. some people tell me this is normal mpg (very few) some people say there is something very wrong with your truck .
let me know what you guys think

 

City driving to me is stop and go, and back roads. I don't keep rpms low I show off what my truck sounds like to the ricers ( their windows come to my exhaust ). My diving mpg is normally around 14-15. That is combination of highway and city. On a trip to Colorado mpg was 19ish going bout 70.

 

I agree with the way you describe "city driving". 7mpg city is sh***y... I get at least 12mpg city.

 

I still say there is something wrong. The LOWEST mileage I've recorded thus far was like 13.1 and I drive like a complete a-hole. I've gotten better mileage driving like an a-hole with my 5klb camper hooked up too.
