Just did head gaskets cab on. Would not dare put stock gaskets back on. Had heads milled and cleaned block deck very thoroughly. Talked to some hot rod engine builders and followed their advice about very lightly sanding the block deck with 320 grit back and forth lite long strokes changing paper 3 or 4 times followed by metal prep from ford. I'm done listening to these idiots at ford. They did HG on my truck at 70k and I had to do them again and I monitor coolant pressure and it's finally fixed! What a good feeling. Do it yourself and do it right. If the block deck isn't prepped your wasting your time. Don't mess with stock gaskets and stay away from ford idiot no nothing mechanics. They f###ed me once. Never again!

Stock, Victor Reinz and the black onyx are all good gaskets.
If your gaskets keep blowing, you're doing it wrong. The block and heads need to be flat. That is the main issue at hand here. Ford just doesn't do anything about getting heads really flat. If they're out of spec they order NEW heads, problem there is some of the NEW heads are out of spec already.... catch22.
I'm with goose on this. There are trucks over 1000rwhp running stock gaskets. Once you are past that power level then you can come on here and tell me they're crap.

I've read more with Ford gaskets... just means more people use Ford gaskets. They're all good to use. It's not the gaskets that are the problem here!
