Default Towing with a lift

I'm looking to put 35's on my truck. Just for looks. I have a 30 bumper pull tt. Dry weight is about 9k. Do you think a 4" lift is too much? Or should I just do a leveling kit?

With F350 blocks in the rear of my 250 (F350 blocks are ~ 3 5/8" and F250 blcoks are about 2") and a 2.5" leveling kit up front, running on 275/65/18's currently, I'm using a 6" drop hitch to tow my 21' TT, and it's really close to level. Any combination is possible with the right hitch, but just remember the larger the drop hitch, the more the leverage on the whole hitch assembly. Accelerating/braking will put tons of force on it. My TT only weighs about 5k lbs max loaded (title actually only says 3500 and change) and I haven't really ventured more than 1 1/2 hours from home, so I'm comfortable with my setup right now.

Personally I'd stick with a leveling kit and 35's for towing that much, just to be safe, but it can be done with a 4". My buddy had an 05 crew cab with 6.5" lift on 37's and he towed all over, but he had to make some sort of a custom drop hitch that was something like 14" The hitch alone weighed 75lbs.

You'll be fine. Lots of people do it. Just buy a hitch thats rated for the weight you'll be towing. You may look into a class V hitch for your truck too

I have a class V hitch for my truck I'll just have to adjust the weight distribution bars.

I haven't seen too many WD hitch setups with that big of a drop. I couldn't really find one that would drop low enough for where my truck sits now...

I run a 6" lift and use a drop hitch for my boat. I have used the following to determine the correct amount of drop hitch to use for your load. I recommend leveling the trailer and measuring the height of the hitch coupler. Then measure your receiver hitch height figure out the difference between the truck receiver and the trailer coupler. Don't forget to take into account the rear suspension drop when the load rests on the hitch. I have found that too much drop hitch (even 1") will make a world of difference in the way the trailer rides. Sometimes the investment in an adjustable drop hitch is worth it if you pull a variety of trailers.
