Default Honest Assessments From 6.0 Owners

I want to here from the 6.0 owners on here.

I'd like to know:

Year:

Odometer:

Power level if above stock:

Problems:

We all know this engine has a certain stigma and my intent here is to get real info from owners.

I'll even start since my dad doesn't know how to turn on a 'puter.

Year: '05

Odometer: 33,XXX

Power level if above stock: Has an Edge. Not sure which one.

Problems: Zero problems so far and he's been very happy with it.

And please, no bashing. Let's keep this civil and to the point. My hope is that we can get an honest education here.

'06 F250. Stock right now, but a tuner later maybe. 42,000 miles. Only problem is cleaning the EGR valve and I think I have a cracked Y pipe. The worst part is the dealer wants me to leave the truck for at least a week before they can squeeze it in. Been waiting for about 8 months now. No truck = no work.

I've got a customer who had one, But 50,000 miles on it, (04) ran great! Very strong, only problem was a ICP sensor. 2 Months after that the fan clutch locked up on a hard pull and caught the fan shroud on fire and burnt the truck to the ground. While at the dealership for the "Assesment" a garage door truck backed into it and totaled it . Now for the bad part, His new truck has been nothing but problems. Cant go 200 miles without a problem! Y Pipe, EGR Valve , ICP Sensor , (I'm thinkin an injector is next) , The list continues!

We've tried a SCT tuner with 3 Diffrent brands of tunes, DJ's , an off brand , and the factory SCT tunes, Made Decent Power on the higher tunes but the tow tune sends the truck surging, Even after the icp! What a mess hu?

His old truck would run a 8.5 this one on one of DJ's looney wild tune wont even run a 9.1

Just a note, My Jasper rep Called 2 Days ago and informed me they have stopped the production of the 6.0 line, No 6.0 products what so ever, or ever again. It was originaly just going to the block only, now they wont produce any of it! They also inform me they wont be producing any 6.4 products!

2004

Just north of 62,000 now

418WHP

Quadzilla Xzillaraider 160

EGR, EPB Sensor, 2 ICP Sensors (with the current one unhappy), EGR Cooler, Stretched headbolts(now has ARP Studs), right front caliper took a dump.

Sounds like a lot, but in 3 years I have been without my truck for maybe 2.5 weeks total. of the 62,000+ miles about 15,000 of that has been towin 13,000+ lbs.

2006, just hit 24,000 miles, running DJ's looney tune daily since 14,000 with AFE XP stage 2 intake, 4" exhaust and power elbow.

Only problem I've had is 2 injectors went out at 8,500 miles when it was completely stock.
