hypertech max energy, afe stage two intake, four inch diomond eye cat back and a cat delete.
no problems at all. i think it really is hit or miss i have mild mods, my boss has an 04 with an sct tuner a turbo back 5 inch system and an intake, mine destroys his. and he has had more then his share of issues with it. just last week the rotor broke in half!!

05 6.0 44,613 on mileage no upgrades. First 15,000 ate the turbo, had it and the inercooler replaced and engine scoped for damage (NTR) and the dealer put in steal tubes all around and removed all the plastic. 3,000 later had all the sensors leaking. They pulled all of them and replaced gaskets and seals. 31,074 had the transmission lock up after droping my fifth wheel at the camp ground and push me through the intersection with the front tires locked and black smoke pooring out the pipe, replaced two solenoids and problem fixed. 36,003 ABS light came on while towing trailer across country for military transfer on I5. Replaced both speed sensors and problem fixed. Now with 44,695 have rear main seal leaking and check engine light comming on again( but light is intermittent after ever fuel up) will be taking back for this fix again. Even stock I am still happy with the truck but would love to see all the leaks stop.

been awhile hehe, I'd like to update the above =p

i bought my truck when i was 19 it was a 2006 F350 4DR had 10k miles on it
for 37,000
Hell at 19 wasnt bad deal =p
After workin it on the pipeline i had hit up around 55,000 miles on it, now being 19 an havin big ol jacked up diesel, you & i both know it got tore up rode to hell an back.

I went thru several power steering pumps, hydrostatic pump or whatever..
I chipped it out with an Edge Plat Juicer around 49k miles
And only reason i bought it cause one day im goin down the road pricein new tires cause all 4 of my nittos had about 6 nails a piece in them.
All the sudden I hear a ding ding ding message center is reading Check Engine Temp
I pulled over looked at my gauges and my temp is redlined..
I go to the air&water machine an fill'er up, couldnt see any leaks so i figured hell guess it finally got low..
bought the juicer to keep better eye on my temps ect ect then I realized how much more fun the truck is running it in level 6 hot woo.. didnt help my problem at all made it worse..

dad came by one day an hes like you talk so much about this diesel bein bad *** lets see what its got, got down the road 4 miles and truck wont go anywhere just tons on black smoke rollin out the pipes just floodin across the highway an he mutters bad *** huh
got back home an i poped the chip out started her up an was fine poped chip back in was fine no dtcs before or after..

well work time came an i had to head to baton rouge for a pipeline job in plaquermine, la
trucks goin just fine down I10 all the sudden Check engine temp, so i filled the lil turd up again an poped the chip out an took her to the shop by this time ive only put around 2k miles on it so im up to 51kish

Guy was said to be best ford mechanic around so i was like alright, anyway he said heads blown, and has been for a long time, he said he wouldnt tell his people i chipped it cause apparently it was messed up from the start an the chip i put it in and my lead foot made it worse.. he said best case is trade it off, to us, or any dealership you want cause this trucks engine has almost had it, between all the trash fuel i was running and hardcore wear and tear i put it thru.

drove it home traded it off(still oweing 27k)
Boy oh boy did i mess up..
I bought a brand new 2008 chevy 1500 z71 fully loaded ect ect ... gas =[
i chipped it out 2nd week i had it sooo weak compared to my ford was stock.
To make it more painful chevy dealer fixed my old ford no problem
and dude down the street bought it =[ so i see it everyday im home
ive got 11.2k miles on the chevy now and i hate it with a passion.

debating on a dodge or chevy diesel..
Problem i have with dodge is my company has rental dodges and the front ends are always being tore out of them.

Problem i have with chevy is.. ungodly horrible look..

And all this computer ****, like on my 08 trucks dont need traction control push buttons wtf?

any suggestions.. as far as the new truck is going.. i gota get rid of this gasser

You may want to hold on to that gasser for a while. Right now all 1/2 & 3/4 ton trucks suck for resale value (trade in/selling used). You will go negative (upside down) depending on your situation when you traded your Ford (what you owed) towards your new Chevy. Now trading a new truck towards another new truck (unless you put a good chunk of coin down).

Since you work in the pipeline biz and probably off road in crappy terrian. Get a Dodge and beef up the suspension w/ Carli Suspension or Thuren Suspension. That will ride better than a stock Chevy on road and take Baja type terrian beatings...
