What do you think the Amsoil is good to for mileage? I've talked to a different Amsoil rep on another forum and even he didn't recommend going past 10k on the Amsoil, and I believe he personally changed it at 7500 miles, just because of how high shearing the 6.0 motor is. Your thoughts?

5k mile oil changes for most of us. Some are going 7500-10k, but they're doing oil analysis to verify it.
Figure to do an oil change with a motorcraft oil filter and conventional 15w-40 Rotella, you're looking at probably $80 or so. To do it with Rotella synthetic 5w-40, figure more like $150.
I've used both the non synthetic and the synthetic and like both of them. I use the T6 synthetic currently in both my 6.0 and my TDI.

I ran Valvoline Blue Extreme 5W-40 in my 06 from 500 miles (new), changing it every 7500 miles, until I started experiencing what I concluded was injector stiction issues at roughly 55,000 miles. I changed to a 5,000 mile interval and the stiction issues went away.
I only drive my vehicle 22 miles to and from work each day. I thought this was not extreme, however, evidently it must be, since a 5,000 mile change interval is required to keep the stiction issue away.
