i can definitely hear a hissing noise while the engine is running. so i am guessing that's where its coming from. also i did noticed that the bolts for the y pipe are a nut and bolt deal. any tips how to get the them lose enough so i can move the y pipe into position? i was looking at it i really don't see a way to hold the bolt while i attempt to loosen the the nut.

Yeah, that part took an extra set of hands. I know exactly what you're talking about. Might as well get new hardware for that stuff now, both bolts we tried taking off broke right there. If the turbo was removed, it's nearly impossible to just bolt it back into the up-pipe and have it seal. The best way is to loosen those bolts you are talking about, then tighten the up-pipe to the turbo, then go back and crank down those up-pipe to manifold bolts.
