Ummm BPD make a delete that looks like a stock EGR cooler. A friend of mine went through emissions with his 05 and the specificaly looked for his EGR valve, EGR cooler, and Cat.

it should pass if you got the proper programmer to make the codes go away

Not if it's a visual test for emissions equipment in tact, which some states are now enforcing. Which sucks, but looks like companies are already finding ways around it!

They will look for the egr delete and you will fail. I purchased the bullet proof egr and oil cooler kit took me a weekend 1 case of beer and 2 pizzas to put it in. Bullet proof diesel is located in Mesa AZ. I went to there location to purchase the kit. Really nice people and They know there stuff when it comes to the 6.0. They gave me a tour of there manufacturing area showed me some engines they had on stands explained why the cooler goes out and answered every question i had. I have since returned to have my FICM rebuilt by them. The guy there that rebuilds them really knows his stuff. they have done tons of R & D on these engines and they wont BS you.

You can also always hammer freeze plugs in your stock cooler and weld them in, then put the cooler back on. Looks like a stock cooler from the outside, but inside it's blocked off from exhaust flow.
