The only way to clean the veins is to take the turbo apart,is that correct?

That is correct. It doesn't seem too complicated, but I've never done it myself.

Read here for details on how to do it: Diesel Technician Society

In my 2005 F-350 there's an inertia switch located behind the kick panel in the passenger side floorboard area. It shuts off the fuel pump if there's a hard jolt. I had to reset mine manually when it tripped but maybe yours is resetting itself.

Yeah they can't reset themselves, but the truck can run without it I bet. I've started my truck and idled it in the driveway with the fuel pump unplugged. It wont drive anywhere but it'll sit there an idle.

I wonder what ever happened with this...

You may be right, if it trips with the truck running it might stay running. Mine wouldn't start until I reset it. I had the truck pretty high in the air to pressure wash sea salt from the under carriage. I let the jack down too fast when I took it off the jack stands and it tripped the switch.

I'm not sure we'll ever find out if this is fixed or not since this post was from august of 2010 anyways...
