Default Rough Idle Loss of Power P0272 Code

I have a customer that had reman heads, Arp studs done about 1200 miles ago. Came in today with the P0272 code and rough idle and loss power blowing blue smoke. We ohmed the injector and everything is reading normal. Does anyone have any suggestions? Bent valve, spring, cracked piston?

i'd check the FICM and see if the voltage is correct.

If you slightly accelerate the engine off of idle, does the engine smooth out? Clear any codes before trying this test.

cylinder 4 contribution fault. If you clear the codes and you keep getting this ONE code, it's probably just the injector. It's also possible it's leaking there as well, bad o-ring or possibly the injector is loose in the cylinder.

Found problem tested the injector, ficm and cleared codes. Pulled valve cover and #4 rocker arm was broke, and a bent pushrod. Has anyone replaced a rocker arm without pulling the head just wondering if there was a trick instead of pulling it.

Yeah You have to pull the rocker arms to get the heads off last I knew, so you should be able to change that without removing the head. Lets just continue the chat on the new post...

I have a buddy who has this exact problem, if it clears up when accelerating or increasing idle what does that narrow it down too?

bad injector most likely, but hard to say with so little information. Test the FICM too.
