Default EGR Delete Kits - Which One?

OK guys, I know that this topic has been well discussed, but here I go again with another newbie question. I see on ebay that there are several guys trying to sell these thing and I just want to know who YOU would go with. Previous experience will help me make a better educated decision. Sinister(MKM Customs), Diesel Customs, are the companies I see on ebay, or do I go with a different company? Thanks.

I'd go with the Sinister Delete kit... and it's a good choice doing the delete! you might wanna get rid of that K&N and BANKS soon though.

yeah ditch the K&N it's junk, banks is ok for what it's intended to do, and Sinister seems to make one of the best EGR delete kits out there

The sinister kit is a copy of the RCD kit, and you can get the RCD kits much cheaper than the Sinister ones now. I just got an RCD for $185 shipped from ebay, brand new, with the up-pipe and it even came with an RCD t-shirt.

If you're not as concerned with the price, FCDP (first coast diesel performance) and GoGo diesel both make really nice kits. I like the GoGo setups a lot. Both of these you can NOT go back to stock with though as the intake manifold is modified.

I went with the RCD since it's one of the nicest of the inexpensive kits I've seen.

FYI you will set the CEL with a delete. A custom tuned SCT can fix that. My vote goes for the Bullet Proof Delete so you still look stock in case you need to go through emissions or go into the dealer for warranty work.

OK, so I see get rid of the banks, that is actually an in progress thing, it actually comes off the truck tomorrow and goes back to Banks for some "trouble shooting". Serious contemplation has been for SCT with custom tunes. As far as the KN, it was also on the truck when I bought it, should I just change the filter element or get rid of the whole intake completely. If that is the case what goes there to replace it?

If they're the same size i would just change the filter element, S&B or Airaid would be fine. but if not you might need ot change the whole set up. I've heard bad things about the K&N filters letting too much dirt and particles by and into the turbo

And MDUB thanks for that bit of info i didn't know the RCD kits were cheaper now

I just found an RCD kit on ebay for 200 bucks, unfortunately I am in between paydays and have to wait to get it. But it seems like that is the way to go.
