Your oil screen could still be plugged. That's the point of the screen, so the gunk doesn't go through the HPOP. You wouldn't see any of this in your oil change. If you do the EGR cooler, I would dig a little farther and clean that screen or replace it.

I've seen both of these codes numerous times, they go hand in hand. To me it sounds like your EGR valve is stuck open. Have you tried removing it and cleaning it or replacing it?

its all torn apart right now EGR vavle stuck open about 8 percent scanner showed pulled out cleaned and holy shiteeee the intake was plugged im doin the CCV mod before it goes back together and ill see if the machanic wants to tare into HPOP to clean screen but today it was throwing two turbo codes one was underboost and the other was performance or something i dont remember what the numbers were and the same two EGR codes so Intake is soking in carb cleaner over night then pressure washing it out and reinstaling everything monday also cleaning turbo up while its off... but hell this guy knows his stuff had everything apart in an hour and a half so no complaints here just got him a case of beer and sat and watched him tear it down

P0404 and P1335 are both egr codes indicating you have a stuck or failed EGR valve. You are taking the right course of action by cleaning it (with CARB cleaner only) and cleaning the intake. Your oil cooler could still be failed. It has nothing to do with the color or condition of your oil. Oil cooler failures happen because casting sand from inside the block comes loose and plug the coolant passages in the oil cooler which also results in EGR cooler failure and can easily be mistaken for head gasket failure. Have someone check the difference in your coolant temperature and oil temperature. If it's more than 15* under load then your oil cooler is plugged and should be replaced. It also sounds like your turbo needs a good cleaning.

holy hell i just got this SCT tuner I didnt know you could do that with it thats frickin sweet you guys are cool thanks for all this input im a little P O'd at Ford they took my EGR valve out to inspect and said it was fine and said my intake was fine to so Yesterday got it pulled apart and Holy cow INTAKE WAS PACKED and the friggin ford machanic didnt put a new gasket on my EGR vavle just used rtv silicone so the there was blowby all around the vavle and there was silicone splatered all over the actuating assembely of valve so i cleaned it all up it was indeed stuck open got it all nice and shiny and closing again its only a month old vavle so im hoping that the blowby didnt get into the little holes and F up the electronics of valve. indexed and pulled turbo apart and soking it right now with penetrating oil and gonna clean the ever livin **** out of it it wasnt that dirty but hell its off so its getting cleaned its only a month old too. also there was a slight exhaust leak on the turbo?? have you herd of this??

Awesome! Good news brotha. When we did an EGR delete on my buddies 04 we also found one bolt from the turbo missing. When we got the turbo off, we found it laying in the valley there. Weird. I've heard of guys using the 03 turbos and mounting them to the newer pedistal and only using 2 of 3 bolts, since the 05+ pedistal isn't the same as the 03's
