Do the smoke switch and destroy your turbo! Go for it, we'll be cheering you on.

Put a bag of sand in your turbo. Or like everyone has said...light it on fire and when its finally smoking alot...breathe it in..take real big breaths. Go for power not smoke. We dont need more of you kids just black smoking the crap out of people or the roads.

not trying to be a "douchebag", but why do u want lots of black smoke? that question needs to be answered first before u can really figure out your first step. if ur looking for big hp numbers, then black smoke will come, but it also requires money(i know in ur post it says extreme power, high gas mileage, and lots of black smoke)but what do you mean by extreme power ... if your just looking for a little more power to cruse around with, like +75 hp or something like that, then imo there is not a safe, or efficient way to get ungodly amounts of smoke. now if ur just looking for a way to create dark clouds of smoke for no apparent reasons, u should probbably not mention that on diesel forums, because the diesel community has taken alot of heat on the issue, and as u can see, a lot of guys have had enough

Yeah, you got beat up a little. But really, the black smoke is just wasted fuel, your money going up in smoke. I remember some years back I was driving my first diesel, a then new '97 Ford PSD, F-350. I was stopped at a light, idling, and a guy in a like make and model truck had gotten through the light and made a sharp left turn and was going up a rather steep hill. He apparently saw me sitting there, and had this urge to show me and everyone else that he was driving a macho diesel truck (some guys seem to think it's like a sex organ extension). So he stands on the throttle, like he had his foot in the headlights, and out pours all this noxious black smoke. I'm sure most of the people witnessing this display of infantilism thought "Now there goes a really cool dude".

I'm looking to get 1200hp and at least 1000 FT LB of torque. I'm 21 and just got into diesels last year and bought my first one this past November. I also want to get at least 22mpg on the highway, as I make lots of long trips. I would like to see a good amount of black smoke when I accelerate, but I don't want to kill people around me with the fumes. Lol. Like I said, I'm new, so I want to learn from those who are more experienced than I am. I'm not cocky and and I now know not to mention black smoke like I did before, and I apologize, but I have no respect for rude people, especially when we all share a passion, and I'm just trying to be the best I can. I thank the people who were curteous and helped me out, and I look forward to learning from you.

You asked for it in your first post, and just for your information the "douschbags" as you call them are on Cummins Forum, now you asked for all the raggin you got by askin for all the black smoke you could get, what are you 16!!!! Just because you bought a diesel doesnt mean you need black smoke, you want power son!!!! Asking for fuel mileage in the same sentence is kinda, well dumb! They can go hand in hand if you go about it the right way, just dont go crying about how the replys came flying at you about burning your truck to the ground, even though you do have a 6.0 but thats another day and another thread.

First thing you need to do is delete a couple things and try to keep the gaskets between the heads, that needs to be top priority and needs to be addressed first before you get any black smoke. I dont think you wanna be doing head gaskets the first week you have a chip on it because you wanted the all infamous "BLACK SMOKE". Ask Mike (mdub something) LOL, he knows all about head gaskets!!!

whoa 1200 hp is a sh*t load, more than that. if you push those hp numbers u would b closer to 2000 ft lbs, not 1000. not trying to shatter your dreams, but that will require some dough man. as said before get your deletes, exhaust, intake, and a set of head studs, so you can hold the power u create at a safe level. also if your wanting that much hp, it wont be the truck that u take on long trips most likley
