That's probably still not enough info for Mdud707. He has no knowledge of how to use the search button on this site.

Here is a thread on this site with DTC codes.
https://www.dieselbombers.com/ford-p...dtc-codes.html

Google P006A and find Pages everywhere, You don't have to enter Ford, 6.0, Diesel or anything else.

I don't think it's the codes.

Try this....

Go buy a couple gallons of either Rotella 5W-40, or if you have A LOT of money, Valvoline 5W-40 synthetic, but don't change the oil yet. Then, go out and RUN THE **** out of the truck, in the stock setting. High RPMS, punch it from a slow roll, and get it good and hot. When you're done, go pull the drain plug while it's still sizzlin hot, and let the oil drain for a while.

Put in your new oil, and drive the **** out of it some more. The next morning, I bet when you start the truck, you notice a difference.

Don't cheap out on oil. Synthetic is the only thing that can keep a 6.0 alive with their finicky spool valves.

Which part? The running the **** out of it with new oil?

The thing is, the spool valves, and the VGT vanes get "sticky", and you heat the motor up and loosen the deposits, then you drain those, and when you put the synthetic in, it has a different (better) detergent package, so you go and run the hell out of it with that... That loosens up even more deposits from the spool valves. Plus, holding the throttle at WOT calls for more ICP and PW, which moves the valves a lot more.

I'm not at all saying it works EVERY time, but for the cost of some diesel and oil, can't beat having a better running truck.

There's other stuff to look at, but this is the cheapest thing you can do first.

I stand corrected. You are right I was searching for 6.0 specific stuff and those are just generic codes, not related to the 6.0. I can't help but wonder what codes would come up when read with a different code reader though. The only results I got when searching for V0105 were from other Edge users. Everyone else gets it as a U0105.

So again, are you the same as Spokes or just friends with him? I'm confused?

Because he was posting CEL codes and I wasn't sure if it was for your truck or a different problem that he was having. Did your questions get answered? I was trying to make sure you were getting answered, since you started the thread, didn't want to get sidetracked helping other people's issues... that's all. Did everyone wake up on the wrong side of the bed today?
