ERG DELETE ???? NEED HELP
#2
it takes away somethin that is very useless to you, and yes it will help out, very simple to do, the EGR is stuff for emissions, it will go out on your 6.0 trust me, and it will leave you stranded somewhere ha thats why i am back to my good ol' 7.3, but the egr delete is well worth the cash

They're only $250 if you do the "make an offer" EGR stands for exhaust gas recirculation. It pumps exhaust back into the intake to lower emissions, but also ends up creating more heat, less power, and your "used" air charge and puts it back into your fresh air.
There are a few different ways to do a delete or a bypass, since there is also an EGR cooler on the diesels (due to a very high exhaust temperature). Just search and read around, tons of topics on it.

Depends on if you have emissions testing in TX. if you don't have yearly emissions test to pass it wouldn't be a doubt in my mind on doing the delete. and if you have the coin to do stud then i highly suggest you do so!. doing the delete kit isn't too hard i've heard, i haven't done mine yet. but i know the sinister diesel kit comes with directions and you should be able to install if you know how to turn a wrench and have a basic understanding of engines
