where is the speedometer sensor located on a 05 f250?
im taking the torqshift out of it and putting it behind my twin turbo cummins in my dodge.
how will i be able to hook the spedometer up?

Ford uses a VSS on the rear diff ring gear.

ok my dodge senses off the tcase i believe. how will i be able to hook my speedo back up in my rig

thats accually not a bad idea... i have one. but anyways.
any ideas on how to do it? can the pcs standalone transmission computer sense the speed and i can somehow hook it up to my spedometer? id really like to have the factory one working

I don't want to be a kill joy, but it might be easier to sell your manuel (no I did NOT misspell that) trans and buy a Dodge trans with a converter/valve body/input shaft mod. Unfortunately, this isn't easy like putting a Power Glide behind your 440, huh.

nah, i want nothing to do with a dodge auto. this swap is gunna cost me no more than 200$ compared to building a junk dodge tranny for 4k. and it would pry just spill its guts out again anyways. not having the spedometer isnt the end of the world. but like i said. id really enjoy having it!!

i'm not sure,but i think you my be able to tap into your wheel speed sensors and run it to one of the pcs inputs, then configure an output signal for your speedo. It will take some enginuity and a little programming but it just might work.
