When I got my first 6.0 in 2003 I was running an Edge Juice. It made good power but it caused the Transmission to "Flare" shift. Once I put the SCT on it was a totally different truck. Hands down the SCT blows everything else out of the water.

im worried about my head gaskets... are they a huge issue in the 05's like they were in the 03/04?

ya it will be ok with a 6speed. just take it easy on the clutch LOL

they werent *** bad but still a big problem with them. my little bro has a 05 with just over 100,000 on it and there just now starting to leak. went untuned (bone stock) for 98,000 of those miles

Ive heard of alot less HG issues with guys running the SCT than any other programmer or box on the market.

The Worse was the Diablosport Predator. Way to much Timing.

Most of the programmers like those run a ton of timing. Since it's not custom tuned it's different for every truck and very "generic" most of the fuel doesn't hit the center of the bowl and you get that star pattern. SCT's aren't nearly as bad...

how do you like your six gun? i got the six gun with pda i love the safty it has but i think i got more out off the supper chip i had on my 7.3
I like my six gun/speedloader alot. it gives me more than enough power, and has never let me down and super easy to install. when it quits i may buy sct or stick with the banks, but i'll deal with that when it happens. so it's not junk, it works good. i'd recomend it to somebody. i didn't get the pda cause i don't think it would hold up or work well with -0 to 100+ degree temps in my truck mostly cause i'm not taking it out and putting in every time the temp goes extreme.

i though about buying an sct but the banks works good and i don't need to replace something that will give me the same end result: more hp and tq
