A custom tuned 6.0 will run circles around a tuned 7.3

IMO the 6.0 is a good solid motor that just needs a helpin hand...now im not tech smart like most of the guys here and mine has done nothing but blow egrs and coolers but other than egr related stuff the only problems that ive had was HPOP...but if you mod it your going to have to delete the egr and that will eliminate most of your problems...ya it u get crazy with it and dont do head studs then ur gunna have problems but if you take baby steps and do it right you should be fine...as for my im still under warranty so i dont wanna void it and then have something bad happen...but ya...all around i love the 6.0...its got alot of potential power if your mods compliment eachother and you are willing to take several years to get everything done (if your like me and cant afford to do it all at once)

The 6.0 is a good motor if you add head studs and delete the egr/cooler.

I'd go with the old faithful 7.3. Had a few buddies who had one, both wouldn't trade it for the world. Have driven both the 6.0 and the 7.3 i way prefer the 73! Not a fan of the 6.0's. For awhile i was driving a 7.3 at work some years ago..and that thing had around 455,000 miles on it and still ran like a champ...I'm an all around Cummins guy but i can't lie...you just can't kill those motors in my opinion, would be my next choice if no 5.9 in a heartbeat

Depends on what you want to do with your truck. It will take a ton of $$$ to make the 7.3 as fast as a 6.0. Now if you just want a good truck to tow id get a 7.3.
