Default ELIMINATING THE MUFFLER

I have 2005 6.0 powerstroke. Can I eliminate the muffler without messing up the computer? Will it throw a code? Should I wait till the warranty is up? Any answers for me? Thanks!!

it won't cause it to throw a code. as for warrenty, it shouldn't be a problem. I've had warrenty work on mine done with the cat gutted, 4" cat back exhaust, and a banks tuner on it, and all that was said was it sounds good, and does the banks give it more noticable power. it may depend on how the dealer is you take it to though with a tuner. mine never cared.

I replaced the muffler with a piece of straight pipe. No codes, no other problems. Dealer didn't care. Sounds good too.
