Default Aftermarket Exhaust?

I am adding an AEM airfilter and a custom SCT x3 programmer (by innovative diesel), but I'm not sure what kind of exhaust I want to add. I am not looking for something that will make my truck louder but I would like to get as much tourque as I can out of my f250. Any suggestions?

If you dont want louder, make sure you get a muffler with it. Even then it will still sound like stock down low, but get really throaty when you jump on the skinny pedal.

My buddy is running a 4" turbo back MBRP on his with the muffler on it, and it's pretty mellow. It was quieter than my stock exhaust with just a muffler delete.

When you did your stock exhaust with the muffler delete did you leave the cat in??

I put a 4" turbo back MBRP on my friends 03 6.0 it is a lot louder outside of the truck but not inside the truck. And really I never cared for the sound of V8 diesels straight piped but the 6.0 absolutely sounds awesome!!

My 06 has the 4" MBRP Turbo Back Duals with the cat and muffler delete. It sounds good at idle and low RPMS but it get real throaty at WOT and when pulling but its not super noticeable unless your driving around with the stereo off.

I had the cat on for a while yes, and it was louder than the MBRP setup. I took the cat off and it got even louder, but the vacuum noise at idle was cool for a little while, but then got annoying. Now I'm running 4"tb into 6" mitres.

Exactly. It's nice having side exit exhaust if you want to hear inside the cab. I have the stacks now and I can drown out the GF when she's talking to me by applying some skinny pedal. I like it though.

The muffler you need to get is a Magnaflow muffler. My MBRP muffler broke on the inside and made loud *** vibrating sounds(the muffler was throaty and was somewhat loud). I believe that the Magnaflow muffler was 115$ I think, but it also came in stainless steel and I will say that it is very quiet and I can hear the turbo, it's more louder. If anything choose the Magnalow its well worth the money.

I'm at the point I need to upgrade my audio system further to drown out the stacks now.
