Default 04 6.0 misses at warm idle and tries to die and surging

2004 6.0, EGR cooler delete, new EGR valve, new fuel pump and #1 injector. I've had my truck since oct. and it started surging about a week after I bought it. It has a hard surge during acceleration when cold and it gets a little better as the truck warms up, however the last little while it's developed a "Hard Idle". It will randomly miss during Idle while it's warm and last night it tried to die. I just had the fuel pump and #1 inj. replaced about 2 weeks ago and the EGR stuff was done in Nov. Any Ideas???? I'm not getting any smoke other than white on startup in the mornings but it's about 20-30 degrees and it quits after the truck warms up for a minute or two. And when I had it tested for the surge, we drove it about 30mi with the scanner hooked up to it and it showed 100% performance out of everything yet was surging the whole time and threw no codes. any help would be appreciated!!!

did you hook it up to the scanner and run a buzz test or contribution test?

Sounds like the EGR valve is stuck open or the ECM flash is not correct for the truck.
Did you try unplugging the EGR valve to see how it runs?
Are you running someones Tuner/tunes?
Why did you put in a new EGR valve if you did a EGR cooler delete?
Can you hear the turbo spool up quickly during acceleration? If not the vanes in the turbo may be all coked up and stuck in an odd position.

My Mech is doing the work, I went and rode around with him and kept checking the scanner. the turbo is spooling just fine, and it runs the same with the EGR unplugged, I had to replace it cause the old one was stuck open, and was causing all kinds of codes and choking the truck, and causing the computer to do weird stuff. I haven't tried having it Flashed yet, that's the next step.

My truck was doing this also and I had the ICP sensor replaced with the new version and allis well now. Sometimes I would be at a red light and it wanted to die but then it would surge back to normal. Hope this this helps.
