Default 03 6.0 PROBLEMS

Hey guys Im new here looking for help. I have a 2003 F250 with a 6.0 that is sick. There is 156K miles on it and recently it has started running rough. It doesn't matter if it is hot or cold. When you first crank it it runs rough then seems to lag as you take off then blows a big puff of white smoke then it seems to run fine till you get to ODrive then it feels like it has a miss in it. It bucks and jerks as it is running. It will not do this when it is in tow/haul. It seems worse when you start uphill. All this is when you keep steady pressure on the throttle but when you go full throttle you dont feel the buck or jerk. Oh yeah the fuel mileage has dropped bad too. What do yall think?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

I forgot to add the fuel filters were changed about 7000 miles ago then again about 200 miles ago the airfilter was changed then too. The engine oil and filter was changed about 1500 miles ago also. It has not thrown any codes either.

I have had my EGR cleaned about 15K ago and replaced about 1K ago. The glow plugs and harnesses were replaced about 20K ago along with the batteries. It had the computer reprogramed when the EGR valve was replaced. It was running rough before all this was done and still is now.

Have you tried to drain the fuel /water seperator? Also change the fuel filters and put an additive in there. I think white smoke means water is getting in there somewhere.

it sounds as if you might have a head gasket issue... you might want to run a pressure test on the cooling system. Also if you can find a way to get the DTC's, diagnosis will be plenty easier
