loss of power
I own a 2005 powerstroke and I was driving today and lost power the factory boost gauge went to 0, I tried to accelerate had very little power, a few minutes later i got boost and now its fine. What could it be? Does the turbo lose boost if the EGR is plugged?

Sounds like a turbo issue. The vanes are known to get dirty, then stick. If the vehicle is still under warranty , it would be worth the $100 deductable, if not it there is lots of info that can be found on these threads that can help you out, or just ask lots of questions and we'll try to help the best we can.
Oh; by the way I think you will like it here!

How does it run without the tuner? Same issue? If you start reading lots of these threads; tho ONLY tuner that is almost always recommended for a 6.0 is SCT with custom tunes. It should not void the warranty (Mod friendly dealer of course), however before you take it for service be sure to return it back to stock, just incase it would happen to get reflashed. Also does your tuner pull any trouble codes? If so what codes do you have?

I called the dealer my warranty is up in March and they said Ford will not cover the turbo until it goes out completely, that really sucks. It hasnt messed up since the other day but im sure the problems are coming, but they are gonna look at my EGR cooler I think its bad..

The coolant is low but I havent had to add any since I bought it 2 years ago its went low in the past couple of months, it has always blown smoke till it warms up. But I did notice a couple of weeks ago i had been driving about an hour when I notice steam rolling out the exhaust when I was accelerating then it quit a few minutes later.
