Default FICM- Is the dealership only place to get & install

I think I figured out my problem with my 2003 F-250 6 ltr. I think it is the FICM...either it is a weak or bad FICM. Well, I just called the dealership to get a quote on what they would charge me for a new FICM. They want to charge $985 for a new FICM installed and programmed. That is OUTRAGEOUS!!!!

My question is this...Is there anywere else I can go to purchase a FICM. Maybe I can get it alot cheaper than the dealership is charging me, and then all I have to do is just have them install and reprogram it for me. I know they charge about $150 to reprogram it so then I would just need to pay what they charge for installation. Im hoping I can find the FICM a whole lot cheaper elsewhere. Any help would be appreciated.

Have em test it out and see if it's actually the problem. If it is, you might be able to get one from an International dealer.

Junkyard? And have the stealership program it. Ebay has some on there
