Let me give everyone a little history. I was going to work yesterday and had the "water in fuel" warning come on. Continued to work(about 1/2 mile more) and then got the handy dandy allen wrench out and drained fuel. Low and behold there was water in the fuel that came out but not much. Started truck and light was gone. got home this morning and changed the fuel filters. Started the truck and it ran fine for about 2 minutes and then died. Found my duel tank switch set to the top thanks to the kid even though I thought that tank was about empty so I figured that it ran out and went on that path. 3 hours later got the truck restarted by priming all the way to the injectors and let it run in the drive way for about 20 minutes. Shut it down and restarted it to make sure it would and it did. Headed off to work and about half a mile down the road it began loosing power as in slowing down and idling down no matter how much pedal I put in to it and then died. Attempted to restart as I coasted to an open area with no joy. Pulled off and several more attempts but no luck. Finally gave up and called the tow truck to take it to the shop.
Fuel is going to the top filter and into the rails but no VOOOM. Any ideas I keep hearing the cam sensor is probably the culpret and yes it has 15 gallons of fuel in the lower tank.

Default Truck is fixed

Found out from the dealership that the primary filter had a hairline crack in the top. Won't leak fuel out but was drawing air in. New cover and truck is up and running again.

That is one of the dumbest designs. I have already replaced two of those already. I have started putting a little grease on the threads after each filter change.
