Thanks for all the info that might help with diagnosis!

Blowing coolant out the degas bottle? Is the coolant low?

Tuner?

Check engine light?

Does the cooling fan work?

Etc...etc....etc....

the truck works fine driving normal, coolant level is fine, no chip in this truck, fan works, and there are no codes. it just seems like every time he goes up a hill it just over heats realy fast pulling a 25ft goose neck with a skid steer or a tractor on it.

Does the overheating occur only when you tow?

Pull the little cover off from the grille to the top of the rad support, and make sure between the radiator and charge air cooler isn't all filled with **** (dirt, fur, etc. etc.) That happens a LOT.

And I would get the fan checked at the dealer, I have seen this a lot with restricted air flow, malfunctioning fans, bad rad caps, *gulp* head gaskets, etc.

Still got warranty?

PM me the VIN

i think the warranty ran out don't know vin number not my truck. i think the truck is a lemon. look at the carfaxs it had two owners before him they both only put 20,000 miles on it and traded it now he has it and it overheats gets 14mpg and has a small oil leak. he is look at buying a 07 ram3500. i know some people never have any problems with the 6.0 and some have every thing go wrong with them.

Mainly directly related to misuse/abuse/lack of maintenance.

98% of failures on the 6.0 are related to what I just said.
