your oil cooler took a **** it sounds like, by the way is it turned up such as edge or other programmer? little brother has a sick.0 too and lots of headaches to go with it and his has an edge on it. has been in and out of shop several times in past two years and lucky for him he hooked up with a guy that is a powerstroke guru and and is the only one he will let work on it.

Find the turbo and come forward about 5 inches and look down under all the stuff.
If it's the OC you got to tear the entire top accessories off. Aparently the heads were not decked correctly the second time around.

my oil cooler blew a hole in it around 138,000. my mech spent a hole day running and flushing the coolant system with water and dawn dish detergant. when i got it back i ran it for a month or so with coolant in it than flushed it again with water and dish detergant 2 more times. it is a royal pain to get clean. Had to flush it again several times 8 months later cause the ford garage mixed anti-freeze and my coolant started to turn into a thick chalky lookin sludge.

You can't deck a 6.0 cylinder head.

There's a TSB for flushing cooling systems contaminated with oil due to oil cooler failures. We've got a new chemical that you use along with Simple Green...and WOW does it ever work. Just don't breathe the fumes.

Yes. DO NOT BUY THE "REBUILD" kit from Ford. You want the whole oil cooler assembly, as well as the 6C683 (basic number) screen that goes underneath it.
