Sorry but like I said when we ran new obd2 scanner no dtc came up except mismatch vin #. We went through live graph and I tried to take pictures of them all with key on key off. But it want let me upload them. We even put bully dog back on and did obd2 again with his and nothing but mismatch vin #. But if you run the bully dog dtc it brings up icp sensor circuit high. We couldn’t figure out why one would pull it up and the other wouldn’t. His obd2 scanner was like an iPad so I know it was reading right. I will finish writing down all live data and then post it. Like I said sorry. I didn’t have a good obd2 scanner at the beginning of thread. Only had scanner for couple of hours and tried to run everything you all was telling me to do so I can get numbers for you

I’m not trying to chastise you. No need to apologize. It’s just that the data really can help us to help you.

Ill attach a screen shot shot from the scanner app I use on my phone. If you get all of the values listed there while KOEO it will help us establish a baseline on your sensors.

Then an you need those values again while cranking, idling, etc... Obviously the situations in which you can get those values, varies depending on the running condition of the truck.

Here is a screenshot from the basic scanner app I run.

If im working on something where I need no directional controls or specific tests, then I use FORScan, AutoEnginuity, or an IDS. But this will do 99% of what anybody will ever need.

If you are going to keep this truck after it’s fixed, I would highly recommended you buy one of the BAFX OBD dongles we posted in this thread.

You will have other technical issues arise over time and $20-$30 spent now will save you a lot of guessing and downtime.

Then you wont be waiting on someone else to loan you a scanner.

We have posted several times that you can use an i-phone (iOs operating system). The BAFX adapter in the WiFi version will work well with a download of ForScan. I prefer the ad-free version for $10 or so.

Bismic and crawler I want to thank you guys for helping me out. I done decided to tear it all back apart and rebuild it again. This time going to add a few more new parts to it. I’m talking whole motor rebuild. Yes I will have a good scanner ready if I run into a problem after the rebuild. Hope you two don’t mind me adding as a friend. I might need some help after I get it done. Let’s hope not. I did go get a book on this 6.0l motor. Any suggestions during rebuild that you can help me out with I do appreciate it. Going to do a lot of upgrades to motor and body even the inside of cab. I know why spend the money because I like the truck to much and the truck belonged to my best friend dad that passed away. I’m the second owner of it and plan on one of my kids having it one day. So might as well make it look good while I drive it. What sucks is had to sale my 1934 roadster with a 454 big block just to get this truck up and going again. So might as well do it right and go big since I got rid of one of my toys. Thanks again you too. Hopefully I don’t have problems. Afterwards but if I do hope you two can help me out. Here is few things I’m gonna do sneak peek . Two kicker L7 solo baric 12’s 2500 watt kicker amp Pioneer touch screen radio 6 tweeters (4) 6x9 500 watt kicker amp new interior makeover 2” lift just cuz I’m short or would be taller lift . 20” rims and tires new paint job thinking about purple faded to black. A lot of new upgrades on motor. All said and done will be like a new vehicle. Thanks again will let you guys know how it turns out.
