Would you buy? 2005 f250 268k miles?
I'm looking at a F250 for sell, and was looking for some opinions. It's a 2005 f250, 4x4. It has a professionally done 4 inch lift, and some decent looking tires. I can't tell exactly what size they are, but they're definitely larger and wider then stock, with a considerable amount of tread.
It was 268,000 miles on it and here is a snippet of the description posted from the seller: "runs good all new injectors, oil cooler ,valve cover gasket, egr delete, too much too list all work has been done in less then a year".
From what I can tell from speaking with the owner, he seems to have about 3 trucks and is just looking to get rid of a couple, this being one. The plan is to go in person and inspect the vehicle this weekend. I have a check list of dozens of points to check on the truck when I do, and a long list of questions.
Now, as far as my plans for it. I intend to use it as a secondary vehicle (primary vehicle being a mustang) for typical home project, weekend excursions, driving during harsh weather, winter conditions and etc. I'm not going to be hauling, pulling a trailer or anything of the sort.
Based on the above initial information and circumstance, is this something you would legitimately make an offer on? Also, how much would you offer him, and how many realistic, useful and functional miles would you say is left of the truck, assuming it's taken care of. The seller is asking 12K...never going to happen, at least not from me!
