Default oil in intercooler tube question? yes i understand its suppose to be there

as stated above, I understand that the oil is vented to the intercooler tube through the crank case vent. Got that and that there is a mod to change that.

my question is this, what is that oil suppose to look like? just the normal dark diesel colored oil or kind of a foamy light brown color.

I had to do some brake line replacement to my parents 2006 E350 van and pulled the boot off and noticed the light brown colored oil (kind of looked foamy but might have been just because i was in a hurry to get the damn brake line replaced i don't remember it that well). there was what seemed like a significant amount in the tube as well, not just a little. could it be from a plugged CCV or something? other than the oil in the tube, the van runs great.

thanks in advance,

jim

interesting but it may be because of the thanksgiving holiday however there have been 170+ people that have at least looked at this post but NOBODY can reply. not even to tell me to google the issue. I will still wait to see if someone might have a reply to the actual question at hand but I will probably search elsewhere for the answer also. If I happen to find the answer I will reply to the post with that said answer so others might know also.
