Info on closing ipr for air test

Default Info on closing ipr for air test

I need to do an air test on the high pressure oil system and unfortunatly i dont have access to a diagnostic tool that i can use to close the ipr...just wondering which wire i put 12v to...i cant find and info on this.

With the key on, there is a constant 12v (B+) power to it. You just need to supply a ground (B-).

You can ground it from the PCM connector:

Jump to ground pin #2 of C1381c (the middle of the three PCM connectors between the driver side battery and the inner driver side fender well which requires the battery cover removed to access unless it's MIA) which will be a yellow wire with red stripe. This is the ground side wire to the IPR. On the IPR connector, Pin 1 is VPower (switched power) and Pin 2 is the ground from the PCM connector.

So just run a ground to the yellow wire with a red stripe on the middle pcm plug while the key is on? Thanks
