Afternoon guys. I am in the market for my first diesel. The truck I am looking at is an 07 F250 with a 6.0 in it. Would be buying used for around 18k. Truck has 91k miles on it. One of the things I think I like about it is that it has a manual transmission. I won't be driving the truck everyday, unless the weather is bad. It will be used for some trips, and some towing.
I have not purchased the truck, though financing is in place should I decide to. Thought I would touch base with some folks that had experience prior to going in person. It ought be said that I will be driving 5ish hours to look at it, and it would be nice if I had a short(ish) checklist of things to keep in mind once I got there, if any of you have the patience to recommend a few things. Or more.
So, fire away. Any and all feedback on the motor and/or transmission, or general diesel notes would be greatly appreciated.
