04 No Start Until I added ether
Ok so my truck has been running great for awhile then out of the blue it doesn't want to start. I went back 2 days later and it fired right up I drove it for a week before I had anymore problems then it stopped starting and I'm back to the same thing. I've swapped the FICM nothing my oil pressure is my voltage is at 54 and I have fuel. So I should start but I'm not until last night when I sprayed a little ether into the throttle body and she fired up. I expected it to run for a few seconds but instead she ran until I shut her down and now she starts every time I've tried to start her including this morning. Any thoughts as to what would make this happen?

It was the dummy plugs. An easy and inexpensive change. On my truck the front plugs were 10mm and the rears were a 12mm hex - later ones should be 12mm.
Here is a link to a video by Diesel Tech Ron (sadly recently killed in an accident)
Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply. The dummy plugs were replaced less than 5000 miles ago. The truck started up again and all was well I changed the ICP and the plug to it but then after about 4 days it wouldn't start one evening the next morning it started fine. This is really confusing me and aggravating the heck out of me. I really wish I could figure it out. Any suggestions are welcome.
