Default Need help!

Alright boys, here it is. 2004 6.0 powerstroke has a major surging issue. It happens at a red light brake fully depressed/traveling along at highway speeds even in town the truck acts like I'm mashing the go pedal when I am not. Sometimes puffs black smoke out the tailpipe at the time of the surge. At first I thought it was injectors so a buddy came with a snap on computer and we watched the injector charts... There was 4 bad, so I replaced all 8. Still surging. Next I swapped out the icp sensor, but I reused the old pigtail for it. Still surging. Buddy comes back over with computer and we watch the ficm chart as the truck is sitting in idle and surging. Ficm shows major drop in voltage whenever the truck surges. So my next guess would be the ficm is shot but frankly I'm sick of throwing parts at this thing. It's my second 6.0 and I love them but she's been testing my patience a lot lately. The truck has 90k on it, edge juice with attitude, 5 inch turbo back and doesn't do much heavy pulling. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

if your FICM voltage drops below 46 volts even for a split second it is on its way out. It was probably the FICM all along.
