turbo seal blow out?
Well just got done bragging how my turbo was fine and didnt have any problems. Started to have a burnt oil smell and popped the hood to discover that there is oil all over exhaust side of turbo and on the down pipe. Bad cell phone pic (its sideways) but it appears to be the seal went bad. What do you guys think?
Also before i discovered this I had some starting issues. It did get to -25 here in Ohio today. Plugged in last night and started fine this morning. Went out at break at work and let it run for 15 min then it started acting funny(missing). Lunch time ran like crap and shut off. Put some motorcraft anti-gel in it after I got it started and let it idle. Ran fine and got it home but every time I stopped at a light had the burnt oil smell. Think non starting issue was just fuel gelling and anti-gel fixed that issue?

Well if anybody cares turbo took a crap. I will have my Garrett powermax on Monday as well as the updated feed and and drain tubes. I will take pics of the carnage. I had oil running down the block and almost clear out of the tail pipe. Prolly post a video of the powermax as well. Sure hope we don't get the snow they are calling for because after I saw how bad the turbo was I pushed it out of the garage and that's where I will be putting the new one on. Yeehaw!
