2006 f550 hpop

2006 f550 hpop
Did a lot of ready and come to the conclusion I have a bad hpop. I check all the sensors and done a pressure test and got air leaking into crank case and got air coming out of the turbo oil supply line. Only getting around 200 psi with a gauge. Took the pump off and spun the gear while my finger was on the suction side and got little to no suction. So with all this info I got to say the hpop is bad! Any professional input on this?

I'm not a Pro, but I did try to spin my HPOP when it was removed. Mine was very difficult to spin it by hand, even when I had it in a vice. It was so hard to spin, I was thinking something was wrong with it. I thought I might have damaged it by tightening it too much in the vice. I removed it from the vice (thinking this would release any binding that might be present in the vice), then tried spinning it removed. It was impossible for me to spin it removed from the vice...admittedly it was hard to hold and I was not putting near the torque on it removed as when it was in the vice). I asked for any input on the forums whether this was normal, the response was that it was normal for the pump to be extremely hard to turn by hand.
I re-installed it and it's been running fine since...that was 45,000 miles ago.
So, from my garage mechanics viewpoint, I think your HPOP is bad if it is easy to spin.

Yea that's what I was thinking. Did a little more looking into it and also found some mistakes done by a local ford dealer. Took it in a few months ago and they replaced the ficm and #1 injector. Turns out their tech didn't up all the bolts on holding down the high pressure manifold to the heads and injectors. I guess it allowed the housing to move with the pressure and broke the scews hold the injector halfs together. So now the #2 injectors are having to be replaced.

That's why I do as much of my own work as possible. It takes me almost twice as long as a decent tech, but I avoid having my vehicle be used as a training device. I also have some issues linger for awhile, since the vehicle is my daily driver. I've only been able to park it for an extended period of time (while I work on it) once, since 2006 when I bought it.
At least I only have myself to blame for mistakes, and I guess I have to be OK with that.
