Truck died
05 f250 cc with about 169000miles sct tuner from innovative and egr delete. So i was having a miss/bogging feeling and occationally it would shake so bad the change was flying out of my ashtray. So i tried a couple cheap options that could possibly cause issue similar to this. I changed the icp sensor and camshaft sensor and did oil change and added hot shot secret. The shaking seemed to stop completely but still had the miss. So yesterday morning it was -15 outside with a windchill of -44 i thought truck would start hard and run like crap but she fired up great i let it warm up bout 10minutes i pop her in 4x4 drove bout 20 minutes to work and my heat was barely blowing luke warm it was closer to cold than hot if that makes since. My truck has factory temp gauges the top one went up like normal but the bottom one was burried didnt move at all. I parked it at work for about 3hrs went started it up let warm up a few minutes and headed to chipolte for lunch i made it bout 1mile down rhe rd and i had complete power loss then it died. I tried restartn and it just cranked i waited bout 5min and trued again and it cranked bout 20seconds the started really rough i poped it in drive and moved bout 2ft and dead again i continued this bout 5x to get it off the road. Had ut towed to for dealer and they been runin tests since yesterday and cant figure it out, they said theres no codes popn at all. Im really startn to get nervous bout what and how much im gonna b throwin at this thing. Any would be great thanks

I had a similar issue with my 7.3 and still haven't diagnosed it - but I've been told its either HPOP or injectors - ill be taking that truck in this spring does the oil smell like diesel and have a chocolate color too it ? Been recommended by a fellow bomber that could be sign of HPOP going

No i didnt smell any diesel when i changed oil it was pretty dark i wouldnt say chocolatey its more like black coffee. I really think 1 or multiple injectors are bad but i would think that would be somwhat easy to see if they are bad so heck i might be wrong. I love my truck but im really frustrated with not figuring out what the problem is. Ive thought bout getting rid of it and making it somebody elses headache but it can happen with any vehicle and im a ford man so i cant give up on it .

that cold better check both fuel filters for gelling no matter how much additive you have in the fuel, check FICM voltage/see sticky at top of 6.0 section/ I had 3 bad injectors and it would barely start when 40 deg. replaced 2 and it starts a lot better but misses a little till warmed up. You might want to invest in Auto Enginuity, it is cheaper then any visit I ever had at Ford, and you can do the same tests they do.
my first thought is fuel gelling.
second thought is a couple injectors, most likely if it was missing until warmed up.

Hey yall i just talked to the shop they said 3 injectors came back with a abnormal reading but one was definatly bad. My thing is they said they think the one bad one is causing those other two to have the abnormal reading does this sound right? If its correct then thats great they would be saving me some cash that i really dont have right now anyways but if its wrong then its gonna get put back together then find out it needs torn apart again.
