wheel bearing seal ?
I'm back. I've been here before. Started with a ficm and 8 injector codes at 72,000. Swapped the ficm and had to ultimately do a #8 injector too. Then at 82,000 had to have the turbo cleaned. Should really probably be cleaned every 35,000-50,000 for maintenance. But depending on how you use the truck. Now were at 87,000. Had a couple of injector codes within the last 3,500 miles. First time was all injectors 1-8 low circuit. Second time was a #7 low circuit. But the truck is running like new after I had the turbo cleaned. I cleared the first all 8 codes and nothing for 1500 miles. Then the now #7 injector, I cleared it and only 50 miles nothing so far.
So once again I started doing some serious maintenance on my 2004 super duty 1.full out coolant flush, block plugs (Thank You International for that top bolt on the starter,Not Fun)blow out the heater core, VC-9 twice, and a new thermostat. I have to say I found she liked running hot. When I was flushing the VC-9 with water and several all water. I could see the temp slightly higher than usual. The throttle response was awesome off the line and I on the highway. Reminds me of the day I took it off the lot. 2.Fuel filters 3.oil change and filter after and only about 2,000 miles on the oil with sea foam in it. Normally after an oil change, when I check the dip stick it stays cleans for a while. With the Sea foam It turned black on the dipstick in two days. I hope its cleaning it good. 4.trans pan drain and new inside filter. Didn't find out about the external till I was doing the coolant flush and I saw the canister. So did that one. 5. Rear end fluid and supposedly ford says its lifetime. Lastly I put back the stock air box and threw the K&N in the garbage. So now I think I am good for a bit with only oil changes and fuel filters.
My real question is while I was going through the owners manual maintenance it says at 60,000 "Replace wheel bearing grease seal" and also 120,000 it says "Replace wheel bearing grease seal" some where I know I saw replace it if you haven't 8,000 miles ago. So what are they talking about.

I am not sure myself and I have never done either. I was at the dealer yesterday and asked the mechanic. He original said its sealed. . Then he got on the phone with someone and asked if I had a big nut and that is what I should see. I said no mine has a small silver cap and then he said mine were not sealed. My truck was out front so he did not see it. But that is what he said.
I will note that on my drivers side. It looks stained from what looks like some may leaked out. To repack em the dealer wanted 200. He was going to program it with the latest for another 115.00. The truck is running like new after all the maintenance. I really think the thermostat made a huge difference because I think it is running hotter and think it likes it.
Also first i just changed the internal filter on the trans and it was a night and day difference way smoother. Drove it for a week then when I saw the external and replaced it . Its like Butter. You can not even tell when its shifting. So smooth, at least the torqshift is a great trans.

I don't know about the wheel bearing seal. I know there is a wheel seal in the rear that mates up to the hub. There is what's called a knuckle seal in the front for 4x4. But that seal I don't believe should be leaking anything. It's more of a dust seal. As Heavyassault said, is the leak in the front or the rear?

Its a 2wd 2004 f-350 cab chassis. I do not see wetness anymore. What i do see is a stain from the cap going down like the gravity of fluid. It looks like maybe the grease seaped out at one time. It does not look like i can see anything currently. It seem that one time it happen causing the stain
