6.0 Fast crank but no start
Good evening all, I am a new member. I've been using this site as a non-member for a couple years now and decided it's time to share and gain experiences. Ok so here it is, 2003 6.0, had it for about three years now. I think the batteries are bad and causing it to not start. Started about 3 weeks ago I would have to put jumper box on the truck to start on cold morning, because batteries would be dead. That turned in to every morning for a few days, then I was having to jump it when the engine cooled down after a few hours. I let the truck sit over the weekend with out starting it. Monday morning knew the batteries would be dead so hooked it right up to the jumper. Wouldn't start so took the Jeep to work and left the charger on pass. side battery for about 2 hours. When I got home hooked up the driver side to charger and tried to start. Cranks over nice and fast but won't start. I know the injectors are sticking and had rough cold start. About a month ago i changed oil and fuel filters with Motorcraft filters and added AR9100 Archoil to the engine oil to help with stiction. At the same time I did the Blue spring kit to FPR, I bought kit from Ford. Engine started and run perfect after that. Until now. Put new starter and replaced primary idler pulley. Had a Bullydog on it but it fried my PCM, had PCM replaced and all that has been about 2 years ago. This year I replaced ICP sensor and pigtail, from Ford. Been running fine except for the injectors sticking. I'm pretty sure it's the batteries.. but not sure if they would be the only thing causing the no start, wondering if I should be preparing to look further. I am running a SCT tune from IDP, same one I have been running for 2 years.
Thanks,
Marc
