Blew turbo hose, now won't start
I was going down the road at 70 two hours into a three hour trip when I heard a loud pop, immediately I pulled over and inspected. I didn't see anything and the truck was idling fine so I started driving again. I realized I had no powere and I didn't have boost so limped it to the next exit. I shut the truck off put the pipe on and started truck, revved once to listen to turbo and truck stalled. Tried to start again but truck gave some sort of code through the chime. I cycled the key eight or so times and code went away and I started truck. No cel at any point. Went to get back on freeway and drove great for 1-2 miles and died. Now won't start. 1200 miles since new ipr, icp, hpop, crank position sensor, and egr cooler/egr delete. Question is are the two issues connected or are they separate. I have seen stuff on each one separately but nothing showing them together. 103,000 miles f250 2004. Scangauge2 shows icp at 23 ipr at 84% when cranking ficm is 48 volts and I get sync. I know the icp is low but any other info is appreciated. Thanks

So I have done a little more digging. I haven't found any correlation between the turbo hose and the no start however it seems my icp reading might be in default. It reads 23 before cranking with key on and during crank. Also there is no movement on the dash oil pressure gauge. I am leaning towards an oil pump but don't want to throw parts at it. Anyone with suggestions or experience please feel free to chime in. Thanks!

This is a long shot but check your turbo for being stuck.
Read this post it may help - Mike's turbo was hung up and the truck would not start. Where your inter cooler hose was off maybe you sucked something into the turbo - again its a long shot.

Mysterync- I checked and I am getting oil while cranking. While there I checked filter and no metal shavings or debris.
Bkmac- I read the article and I checked the turbo and it is free. I don't believe I have any issues with that. Thanks for the shot in the dark though, that's free and one more thing to cross off.

Wondering why hose popped after two hours? Is there a lot of oil in your cac tubes? Start with basics, clean air, fuel and oil. Make sure ficm volts good and is syncing. Make sure you have clean fuel getting to the injectors, there is test port on fuel bowl for pressure check. Make sure you have high pressure oil for injectors to fire. Most scan tools will give you enough info to help with diagnosis. It's confusing at first but not too difficult if you want to learn.

Ok low oil pump checks out, high pressure checks out, ipr checks out, icp never moves off 23 on the scan gauge. Unplugged icp reads 1776 and ipr reads 54%. Still no start. Checked wire looms and they are good. Anything I am missing? If I was in a position to pay for a shop I wouldn't be asking you guys. Not trying to be a b-hole but I am stumped. Watched the diesel Ron vids on you tube and still stumped. I no longer care about the turbo and the cold side of the road it left me on. I am concerned getting it fixed and pronto! Thanks guys.

Did u check ficm volts again? It's possible you may have defective ICP sending unit. You need the oil pressure and electronics working together to get your injectors to fire. Also do u have fuel pressure at filter? Lotta things come together like orchestra on modern diesels. . U can do it!!
