'03 6.0 Low power, P2287 Code
Alright guys. Here's an interesting one for you.
My '03 has been acting up lately. It'll run like a raped ape for 5-10 minutes after a cold soak, then it will rev to ~700 rpm, and immediately drop to ~500 rpm before stabilizing back at around 650 rpm. I found that a code P2287 (ICP Sensor Circuit Intermittent) would be logged in the PCM at the same time the event occurs. After the idle transient, the truck exhibits low power to ~2,000 rpm, then takes off like normal.
Diagnostics performed:
Checked ICP sensor plug for corrosion. I found minor corrosion, so I replaced the plug, soldering and heat-shrinking the wires.
Verified full 5.0V reference voltage. 4.9-5.1V was what I had during the test.
Ran new wire from ICP sensor plug to PCM harness. Again, soldering and heat-shrinking.
Tested with known good PCM.
Connected multi meter between ICP sensor signal wire and SIGRTN wires. Voltage at KOEO was .23V, KOER Idle ~1.0V.
ICP Sensor was replaced ~7,000 miles ago when engine rebuilt.
Yesterday I was checking more stuff out, and had my diagnostic tool recording and I managed to capture these screenshots:
Notice the IPRDC% jump to 32% and the ICP and ICPD go into unison, while the ICPV voltage is all over the place. By my calculations, the truck is trying to run on about 550 psi of ICP, while the PCM believes that it has 860. Anybody have any ideas for me? I'm lost on this one...

ICP Volt is top (Red)
ICP is 2nd from top (Green)
ICP Desired is 3rd from top (Lt. Blue)
IPRDC% is 4th down (Purple)
Load is 5th down (yellow)
RPM is 6th down (Dk. Blue)
VSS is 7th (Purple)
VGTDC% is 8th (Orange)
ECT is 9th (Red)
EBPpsi is 10th (Green)
MAP is 11th (Lt. Blue)
FICMMPWR is bottom (Purple)
