Heat blend door actuator

Heat blend door actuator
06 F350 super duty - it does NOT have automatic climate control
My AC works great on the Max AC setting - on any other setting if I turn the heat controller **** the temp does not change.
I pulled the blend door actuator out and turned the temp **** from hot to cold and back again. The shaft on the actuator does not move.
Checked the wiring on the back of the heat controller **** and it appears to be good.
Does anyone know how to test the actuator ? It is a multiple pin connector that goes into it - does anyone know how to test the wiring ie which pin should be "hot" or how many volts or whatever each pin should have?
Thanks in advance for replies.

This is a link to a youtube that shows the actuator I am talking about. It shows how to replace it but not to how to test it.

I do know the ac is on in most positions. Are your heater hoses both warm after you turn heater on high? They should both get warm if your heater core is flowing. Im told ac works to keep pump from freezing up and to dry air to defrost quicker. If heater is clogged it may not get hot enough to overcome ac. Some scan tools can activate actuator if u have access to one.

My problem is not that I am not getting heat - I am getting to much heat. The AC MAX works fine, nice cold air - everything else blows hot including the regular AC setting. This leads me to believe that the heat blend door is not shutting down the warm air inflow. I pulled the actuator and turned the heat control **** and the shaft on the actuator does not move. I believe it is this shaft that controls the door.
