Need help fast my DD Hesitated, died, lots of white smoke!!

Default Need help fast my DD Hesitated, died, lots of white smoke!!

My truck is a 2005 f250 and has had a lot of replaced parts: oil cooler, erg cooler, hpop, dummy plugs, turbo drain tube ext. Have had no issues for a few months but this morning it started like normal went half a block and battery light came on (my mil always on due to egr valve unplugged) and truck just died and rolled to a stop with a lot of white smoke. cranked it a few times and got it to start then went back home limping with a few seconds of normal power but had massive amounts of white smoke as it nearly died again pulling in the driveway. The smoke may have been blue but it was 0500 in the morning and couldnt tell. I have some of these codes always due to egr valve but here is what also popped up, should an egr delete be my fix here???

I have started it a couple times in the past hour or so and it starts up fine but still feels hesitant and still lots of white smoke. im really hoping all i need is an egr delete kit. when i replaced the egr cooler i got a dorman one cause it was cheap but couldnt afford a egr valve, have cleaned it several times but still doesnt work so i just leave it unplugged i can see around the back of my egr cooler it has a lot of exhaust soot on it and around it.

Is your coolant level down?

If not, could the white smoke have been diesel fuel since you have an injector code?

My coolant level is fine. I ended up doing a delete kit for the egr. It came with a new down pipe. Since the fix I now have an exhaust leak I cant find but I think its in the flex portion on the drivers side y-pipe. and my turbo is way under boost but I think it has been that way for awhile. I get a new weird whistle that i think is the leak. I only get the codes for the egr now and 2 misfires. So besides fixing the exhaust leak and maybe getting a new turbo I hope I do not need 2 injectors. thanks for the reply

but no white smoke after the egr delete so not sure????? and until it starts to run really up to temp it kind of drives like it is pulsating with power if that makes any sense

My direction that I would point you is ficm, battery, or alternator. Weakened battery or underpowered alternator may mess up the ficm that would explain the smoke and the pulsating.

Thanks. Yeah the smoke has stopped but it pulsates like a mother! Usually if i let off the gas and let the rpm's drop it stops but any pressure on the gas pedal it pulsates again. I checked the fcim not to long ago and was good to go but maybe i need to again, I still have a very underpowered turbo that could be a lot of the problem too. It usually runs at 8-10 psi then to 18-20 psi when punching it.
