OK, Which transmission fluid do I need for my 2003 F 350 4x4 6 liter diesel?

From everything I read, I need the Mercon LV or SP. The only Mercon fluid I can find is the Mercon V. I did find some at Oriley's that was labled "global" and on the back of the many transmissions it's compatible with is the mercon LV......but I don't want to put just anything in my transmission!

HELP....I don't want to go to the stealership for the proper fluid.

 

I order the Mercon SP from RYDER the FORD dealer charge me almost $2 more a quart

 

I found Valvoline Max life that was Mercon LV fluid. 7bucks a qt...wow, that was an expensive oil change but worth it.

 

I have local auto parts store getting ford motor craft filters and trans fluid for me! Try your local guys if you have any!
